Once upon a time I thought nude lipsticks were just for blanquitas. That's until I saw how gorgeous Camila Alves looked sporting this shade. In case you didn't know, I'm kind of obsessed with Camila Alves. She's gorgeous and because she has my skin tone and shares similar facial features (like thick brows), I like to look to her for beauty inspiration. The girl is proof that nude lips do work for darker skin tones!

For medium or dark skinned chicas, finding the right shade of nude lipstick could be tough. I have semi-plump, long lips that I swear look better with color. You'll almost always catch me rocking either hot pink, soft pink or some coral shade on my pout. But sometimes a girl just wants to look natural and slathering on transparent lip balm or gloss doesn't always cut it. And after seeing how brown-skinned Latina celebs like Camila Alves, Joan Smalls or Zoe Saldana look with nude lipstick, I realized it was time I finally give the trend a shot.

One of my favorite nudes is MAC Lipstick in Hug Me ($16). It has a warm undertone that complements a darker complexion.

If your lips are two-toned, try Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick in Beige ($35). It's a neutral, creamy brown color that will have your lips popping!
Revlon
Believe it or not, but nudes with rosy tints are your best friend girl. I really like Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet ($5).
Bobbi Brown
If you have a tan or caramel complexion like Camila Alves, try Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Uber Beige $26). I love it!
Sephora
Want a J.Lo glow? Try Sephora Collection Rouge Shine Lipstick in Honeymoon ($13). It's a pretty, semi-sheer, toasted taupe color.
