I'm a big fan of Orange is the New Black star, Dasha Polanco. For starters, she's Dominican and born and raised in New York City just like me! She's an amazing actress with a super cool personality (I met her once!) and a great sense of style. In fact, she showed up to the Rolando Santana spring 2015 New York Fashion Week show over the weekend revealing a brand new look. Let's just say she looks nothing like how she used to look before!

Dasha debuted her new lavender/gray ombré look and I have to admit–she looked fab! I really can't get over how chic and stylish this Dominicana looks with gray and purple hair. I mean, how many people do you know that can actually pull this color off? But it looked stunning on her and it even complimented her olive complexion.
So what inspired the new dye job? "You know, I like to take risks and play with my hair," she told Latina magazine. 'It's the time to do it, so why not?" She even posted a few snaps of her hot locks on Instagram. But as gorgeous as Dasha looks, I'm not exactly convinced to go gray now. Don't get me wrong, gray hair is beautiful. But not all of us can sport sexy silvery strands.
I've noticed a lot of young women are embracing gray hair these days and it definitely makes a bold statement. I just don't think it's for me. The way I see it, rocking gray hair at my age is like rocking laugh lines. They'll eventually come and I'm in absolutely NO rush to start sporting them now. But if you're feeling daring, make sure you take a few of these stunning photos of Dasha with you to the salon!
I had to throw in this picture of me and Dasha (below). A girl can brag, no?
