When the hair oil craze first began I was NOT into it. Just the thought of putting oil in my hair and be left with greasy results made me absolutely want to cringe. But after months of extensive research and discovering that things like coconut oil and argan oil could actually leave my strands healthier, softer, shiner and stronger, I finally gave in and decided to give it a shot. And let me tell you girl, I haven't looked back. Not only do hair oils work wonders but they stimulate growth too!

After months of heat damage and one horrible haircut gone bad, I started to treat my hair with oils. I'd massage rosemary oil on my scalp for two minutes before every wash and I'd apply coconut oil on like a hair mask two to three times a week to help nourish my strands and reverse damage. Before I knew it, my hair was longer, stronger and a lot healthier. Need I say more? Here are four hair oils that will give you beautiful long hair in no time!
Rosemary oil: There's a reason why rosemary oil is found in a lot of shampoos today. Apparently it stimulates hair follicles and dilates blood vessels that leads to hair growth. I love using Weleda's Rosemary Conditioning Hair Oil ($17).
Coconut oil: Coconut oil doesn't just deeply hydrate hair but it also protects it from breakage and improve scalp circulation. Apply a generous amount to the roots and strands of your hair and then cover with a plastic bag or shower cap. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing out and expect super soft and shiny results!
Almond oil: Almond oil is another popular oil that's great for stimulating hair growth. Most women I know massage it on to the scalp and leave it on the ends for 15 to 20 minutes. It works wonders!
Castor oil: I've been hearing for years about women applying castor oil to their brows and lashes in order to get them to grow and apparently it works for your head too. This beneficial oil is packed with vitamin E and proteins that nourish hair back to health as well as promote growth. Supposedly it increases circulation and can stimulate hair growth even in cases of alopecia.
