Fajas are nothing new for us Latinas, but ever since Jessica Alba revealed that wearing a corset "day and night for three months" post-pregnancy was how she dropped her baby weight, there's been a corset craze–and I'm not talking Spanx! I know women who wear those tight corsets (the kind that's fastened with hooks) for hours at a time, to bed and lately I've been noticing chicas even wearing them at the gym. There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the faja diet and wearing a corset while working out, but some trainers still insist that the old-school method does bring results. Fitness enthusiast Morgan "Monroe" McGee, founder of Curves By Monroe, swears by it. "Waist trainers work. Period," she told Ebony.com. "Corsets have been worn for centuries and women have achieved their desired shape."
