One of the biggest problems most Latinas have is finding a foundation that actually matches their skin tone–and that's especially the case for those of us with medium or dark complexions, like Christina Milian (pictured here). I can't tell you how many times I've been advised by a beauty department sales assistant to get a foundation in a "tan" shade. Um, I'm not just tan. I'm a caramel-ish tanned Latina with yellow undertones. A plain ol' "tan" color isn't going to do the trick for this warm-complexioned Dominicana. Fortunately, there are some brands out there that are finally getting the hang of it, offering at least 20 shades or more in colors that suit our golden, caramelo and cafe con leche faces. L'Oréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup ($11) really does give you the perfect match. It comes in 33 different shades all with different undertones ranging from cool, neutral and warm. The Caramel Beige color fits me like a glove!

I recently tried out Lancôme Teint Miracle Lit From-Within Makeup ($43) and let me tell you, girl, I'm in love! Not only does it come in 28 colors, but it also makes my complexion look FLAWLESS. Have a yellowish/golden skin tone? Check out one of the Suede shades!
CoverGirl
You have to check out CoverGirl's Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation ($7). It's as lightweight as a tinted-moisturizer or BB cream but still gives you complete coverage. It also helps hide those pesky manchas!

I'm obsessed with Urban Decay's Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup ($39). It comes in so many beautiful bronzy and brown shades and leaves your skin looking airbrushed.
Flower
Having a hard time finding matching products? Don't stress! Try Flower About Face Foundation with Primer ($14). It's basically a primer, concealer and foundation all in one!
Maybelline
The Maybelline FIT ME Foundation ($6) is probably one of the best drugstore formulas out there for dark skin women and it's cheap too! I love it in Soft Honey.
Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15 ($48) comes in a number of deep shades, like Almond, Walnut, Chestnut and Expresso. It's perfect for darker tones.
Dior
What I love about the Diorskin Nude Makeup Finish Bare Skin, Natural Glow ($49) is that it doesn't just make it easier to find your match. It also leaves your skin looking brighter and more radiant.
