I hardly ever wear makeup during the summertime. After all, who wants to walk around with layers of cakey foundation, blush and bronzer in sweltering temperatures. But I refuse to step out of my house without at least one coat of mascara. Unfortunately, mascara can be tricky. I've been using Lancome Hypnose Waterproof Mascara ($28) for years. If doesn't smudge and stays put for hours. Did I mention how long and thick is makes my lashes look?
Urban Decay
I recently tried out Urban Decay's Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara ($20) and boy was I impressed! This thing stayed on through tears, humidity and even rain. I was only able to get it off with waterproof makeup remover wipes.
Smashbox
Most waterproof mascaras leaves lashes clumping or flaking. But Smashbox Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara ($20) is actually pretty easy to layer on. It also holds a curl with no problem!
Benefit
I'm obsessed with Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Waterproof Mascara ($19). The small wand helps define every single lash and oomphs volume too, making lashes look ultra-dramatic. Plus, it stays on ALL day!
Bobbi Brown
The Bobbi Brown No-Smudge Mascara ($25) stays on but it's also easy to take off. I've gotten it right out with a little bit of coconut oil just like that. It also doesn't leave my lashes hard and stiff.
Rimmel
The Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Waterproof Mascara ($6) might be smudge-free but it definitely still delivers. It gives my lashes a look that's so full and glamorous you'd think I had falsies on!
