Living in San Francisco not far from the one and only everlasting hippie central of Haight Street, I see tie dye on a fairly regular basis. You would think that loving San Francisco as I do, I would have a predisposition to like tie dye, but the truth is that I don't. Most tie dye creations make me want to gag and puke up rainbow colored nastiness. I'm sorry, that's just the way that I feel about most tie dye, but not all tie dye. You see there are some tie dye creations that are so lovely that even I, a die-hard anti-tie dyer think they are beautiful. I've got to show them to you!

Add a bit of food coloring to your cake batter and you can eat your tie dye creation instead of wearing it.
