The 6 craziest high heels in the world

Ladies, we've all been there: you spend a solid amount of money (aka too much) on a nice pair of heels only for them to make your feet like they're on fire whenever you wear them–and then get all scratched up and scuffed just a few months later. Sigh.

But now, UK-based label The House of Borgezie is claiming to have created the "World's Most Comfortable"heel, called Borgezie Riviera Stainless Steel & Sterling Silver Stiletto. And not just that! The company is apparently so confident in the shoe, it's offering a 1,000-year warranty. Yes, 1,000 years as in THREE zeros! Say what?!

The shoes, seen above, supposedly have silicone liners on the toe strap and rear heel that make them extra comfortable to walk in. There's also a removable heart-shaped sole that can be replaced if it gets too worn down. So how much do these babies cost? A cool $1,674. Yikes!

OK, am I the only one who finds these shoes kind of crazy-looking?! There's so much stainless steel going on in those stilettos, I feel like they could be used as a weapon. Seriously, would these even make it past airport security these days? And while the absurdly long waranty sounds good in theory, who exactly is going to be able to bank on that? You'd have to find the elixir of youth first.

The designer Chris Shellis points out that women can hand them down to their granddaughters, which I guess is true, although I don't know of any style that has managed to last for 1,000 years.

In any case, I am all for long-lasting, comfortable heels, but I'm just not sure that these are it! Check out some more crazy stilettos below:

These might very well be the most terrifying heels on this list. They're made with actual dead animal parts. Designer Iris Schieferstein has created various pieces that include dead seagulls and dried mice.
