My fiance thinks I'm obsessed with having my picture taken. Every time we're out and about, I have him snapping away (especially if I have on a cute new outfit!). But what he doesn't get is that it takes a few takes before I finally find a shot that actually flatters me. I can be having the best hair day ever, my makeup could be flawless and my outfit on point, and somehow the camera still finds a way to highlight my most pesky imperfections. It drives me nuts!

Get the best lighting
Good lighting is key when it comes to scoring a flawless picture. Try posing where there's plenty of natural light. This keeps photos soft and flattering. Avoid harsh, hard light and don't use flash if you can. It can easily wash out your complexion.
Fake the body you want
Ever noticed how much taller Eva Longoria looks in red-carpet photos? That's because she knows how to pose in a way that elongates her legs. If you're short like her, try wearing a dress that hits above the knee with nude heels that will give the illusion of longer legs. Always, stand straight too!
Figure out your best pose
Every time I take a body photo I put one hand on my waist, just like Jessica Alba. It makes me look slimmer, poised and confident. Remember confidence is key!
Know your angles
There's a reason why Joan Smalls has made it so far in the modeling world. It's because homegirl knows her best angles! Figure out the angles that highlight your best features and hides your not-so-great ones.
Be yourself
A good picture doesn't mean you have to pout your lips. If smiling comes natural to you, be yourself and show off those pearly whites! Roselyn Sanchez's smile instantly brightens up her face.
Be flirty!
Some of the cutest pictures I've taken were making flirty poses. Don't be afraid to look over your shoulder or make a sweet smirk. Tell me Zoe Saldana doesn't look stunning in this shot!
