Kim Kardashian is definitely one of those chicks who needs to ALWAYS look glamed up–even when she's working out. In fact, she recently hit up a gym in L.A. with her younger sister Kendall and was seen indoor cycling decked out in full makeup. I'm talking foundation, blush, falsies–the whole nine yards! Seriously, who does that?
I used to be super critical of women who go to the gym with makeup on. It just didn't make any sense to me; you're going to wind up sweating it all off anyway. But like most Latinas, I soon realized that leaving the house looking like a loca was NOT an option for me, even if I was just going to the gym. But with that said, if you're going to actually wear makeup at the gym, PLEASE make it less obvious! Here's how!

For years I believed that wearing makeup to the gym was a big beauty NO-NO and in some cases it is. Heavy foundation and powders is a pore clogging, acne-causing disaster waiting to happen. But there are products you can get away with wearing so that you still look and feel your prettiest. Check them out!

Lose the foundation

Your pores open up while you sweat, so it's never a good idea to wear foundation while you workout. Doesn't matter if it's liquid or powder, it's still going to seep into your pores, leading to breakouts or irritation. Instead look for a lightweight noncomedogenic BB cream that's not going to do any more damage than a moisturizer or sunscreen. I love Cover FX CC Cream SPF 30 ($45). It provides just enough coverage and makes skin look dewy and flawless.
Make your eyes pop

Falsies, dark eyeliners and mascara are completely out of the question, unless you want to look like a fool, of course. I like to add a nude pencil liner, like Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof EyeLiner in Nude ($5) to the inner rims and lower eyelids to help brighten up my eyes. I normally use an eyelash curler to fan out my lashes, but if you can't imagine leaving the house without mascara, opt for a waterproof one, like Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara Waterproof ($8). Apply no more than one coat–that's it!
Add some color

My lips tend to easily dry up (even during a sweaty workout) so I always like to apply some sort of balm or gloss that's going to keep my pout hydrated while adding a dab of color. I like Flower Sheer Up Lip Tint in Bare Blush ($8).
Glow

It doesn't make sense to bother with blush or bronzer when you're going to get sweaty and naturally flushed anyway. But if you still want more of a glow, dab on a pea-sized amount of illuminator to your cheek bones, forehead and nose. I'm obsessed with the St. Tropez Gold Skin Illuminator ($15).
Keep brows groomed

You'd be surprised how much prettier you look when your brows are groomed. Keep them neat and in place with a brow gel. Have over-plucked eyebrows? Forget about filling them in and apply a tinted formula, like Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel ($22).
