I don't like to pick on pregnant women, but there's no way I can ignore the Ellie Saab gown Elsa Pataky chose to wear to the 86th Annual Academy Awards. Did you see it? I mean, kudos to her for fully embracing her baby bump and trying to have fun on the red carpet, but there was absolutely nothing flattering about that dress. I hate to say it but I'm not the only who feels this way–apparently everyone on Fashion Police thought it was a hot mess!

Elsa's teal patterned gown didn't show off her baby bump in the most flattering light. I know she's expecting twins, but the right dress would have worked with her shape. I personally feel like she should have taken a cue from pregnant celebs Olivia Wilde and Kerry Washington, who both looked incredibly glamorous. I'm still thinking about that dreamy Jason Wu number the Scandal star wore! With that said, I do feel like a lot of the commentary Fashion Police made in regards to Elsa's look was just mean.
"I'm sorry, look at her tummy!" host Joan Rivers said yelling. "She is HUGE. I know why she's huge. I saw her sonogram." Commentator George Kotsiopoulus even had the nerve to say that her bump looked more like a "beer belly." Seriously? Whether he was joking or not, that was still pretty harsh.
Like I said, this was definitely NOT Elsa's best look. I really think an empire waist or even strappless number would have done a much better job at complementing her adorable bump. But I will say one thing, the dress may not have flattered her body but her hair and makeup was definitely on point!
