Anyone who knows me well, knows I'm a total mascara junkie. If I had to roam the earth with only one makeup product it would be a lash lengthening (and of course thickening) mascara for sure. The crazy thing is, my lashes are naturally long and thick, but who wouldn't want the extra boost? Mascara is the ultimate eye-opener and brightener, plus it makes you look instantly glam in just a matter of seconds. It's for this reason that I'm practically falling off the edge of my seat just thinking about the new Sephora Collection Upside Down Mascara. Seriously, I'm dying to try it! The innovative double-brush mascara promises to give you everything from ultra-volume, to insane length, and even curl and definition. The trick is to open the wand by placing your lashes in between the upper and lower mascara brush. This supposedly helps to coat each individual lash. I don't know how well this thing works, because I haven't tried it yet, but you can be sure I'll be making a quick trip to Sephora right after work today. Luckily for you, I have tried a ton of other amazing mascara formulas this year that I can guarantee do the trick. Here are some of the best mascaras out this year that you NEED to own!

I'm not going to lie, I'm always a little hesitant to try double-side mascaras, but CoverGirl LashBlast Bombshell Mascara ($9) didn't disappoint me. In fact, the two-step system made my lashes look so thick, you would have sworn I had falsies on!
Too Faced
I've always been a big fan of Too Faced mascaras, but the new Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23) is by far my favorite. With just one coat, my lashes looked instantly fuller and amazingly longer. I'm obsessed!
Rimmel London
It's so hard to find a thickening mascara that doesn't leave pesky clumps which is why I LOVE Rimmel London ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara ($5). It does everything you need a mascara to do without the mess.
Tarte
Tarte Lights Camera Flashes Statement Mascara ($23) makes my lashes look SO long, it's inconceivable. It's my new go-to mascara!
Lancôme
Most thickening mascaras leave my lashes stiff and clumpy. But Lancôme
HYPNÔSE Custom Volume ($28) makes my fringe look incredibly fuller, while still leaving them soft and smooth. Did I mention that all you need is one coat?
