Could someone please explain to me what Adrienne Bailon had on at the Effy Jewelry's 35th Anniversary recently? When it comes to fashion, this chica is normally on point, but that Michael Costello white lace gown wasn't doing it for me. For a second I thought she was literally wearing a wedding dress, until I realized it was sheer from the waist down. So what look was she going for exactly? Because I'm all kinds of confused right now!

Apparently Adrienne was picked to host the event which would explain why she went all glamed up, but it doesn't explain this awkward dress decision. Seriously, am I the only one who thinks this looks like a bad wedding dress gone sheer? Nothing about this ensemble screams red carpet. And it's a shame because her hair and makeup looked better than ever. Adrienne's natural-looking, dewy complexion looked amazing on her.
I'm actually starting to wonder if she was trying to replicate the absolutely stunning sheer white dress Beyonce wore at the 2014 Grammys. Keep in mind that was also a Michael Costello number. Nice try though Adrienne!
I used to love Adrienne's style, but lately it almost seems like she's trying to channel other celebs' fashion. Take last week for instance, she attended a Fashion Week show in a head-to-toe denim outfit paired with a beige coat and nude pumps that was very reminiscent of an outfit blonde Kim Kardashian wore earlier this fall. Now she's trying to imitate Beyonce's Grammy look. I personally feel she should stick with what works for her and her own awesome personal style.
