Salma Hayek recently had a hair makeover and I'm actually really bummed out about it. The actress' signature raven-colored strands were transformed to reddish-blonde highlights and I'm sorry to say but … I don't think it's her best look. In fact, I actually feel like the color makes her look older and a little washed out. I get she wanted a new look, but homegirl was working that black hair. It complemented her gorgeous complexion and dark facial features. You have to see the new style for yourself though!

Now, I'm not implying Salma only looks good with black hair. She can definitely do lighter strands too. In fact, before these new highlights she was rocking caramel ombre tips and it looked fab! But these highlights, man, they just aren't cutting it.
I feel more passionate about Salma's hair than I did when Kim Kardashian went blonde. After that bad dye job she had back in 2009, I really didn't think Kim would go blonde again. She still looks good but let's be honest here: She was STUNNING as a brunette. And this is exactly how I feel about Salma's highlights. Salma with weird reddish blonde highlights is like Beyonce going black. It's just not–how should I say it?–ideal!
Maybe it's the reddish tint in her blondish highlights that are bothering me. If it was more of a honey/caramel it wouldn't just complement her skin's yellow undertones but brighten her complexion too. I don't know, maybe I'm just being dramatic. What do you think?
