Eva Mendes’ Facelift Diet could be the key to looking young forever

Ah, youth. Don't you wish you could bottle it up and have it as an elixir that keeps you looking 21 for the rest of your life? In a perfect world, that would happen, but we live in the world of aging and eventually it catches up to us. Unless you're Eva Mendes who has apparently been keeping a huge anti-aging secret from us. It turns out she and other Hollywood leading ladies swear by the Facelift Diet to give them their youthful glow and wrinkle-free complexion.

The three-day diet created by Dr. Nicholas Perricone requires no surgery or fillers, but it does come at a cost. The meal plan is delivered to you in a basket and can cost you up to $130. Yeesh!

When Perricone came up with the anti-inflammatory diet, he knew he wanted to take a holistic approach–as he always does–but this time with anti-aging foods. The diet itself can be delivered in a basket for a fee, but the best part is you can buy them yourself at your local supermarket. Those foods includes lean meats such as salmon, turkey, tuna, fruits and vegetables, olive oil, and nuts. They all carry essential fatty acids that will help your face maintain a smooth, firm, and youthful glow.

The diet expects you to eat two meals with salmon daily as the main protein which raises concerns with some health professionals such as nutritionist Lorna Driver-Davies. She explains that the levels of pollutants and mercury in the fish could be harmful and recommends reducing it to just two portions once a week and taking a fish oil supplement to have the same effect.

However if you want to give this diet a shot without spending the crazy amount of money for the delivery system, here are some key ingredients yto add to your shopping list:

Eggs

Salmon

Berries of all kinds

Leafy greens

Oatmeal

Olive oil

Turkey breast

Almonds & other nuts

The best part is you don't have to shell out extra money on the pricey basket and can buy the food according to your own budget. To get the FULL diet, you can check it out here.
