Abuela’s beauty DIY: A miraculous cure for dry, cracked feet

I don't know why, but my feet get crazy dry during the wintertime. It's embarrassing! Even though I'm not rocking sandals or open-toe shoes this time of year, it still bugs me to have sore, cracked heels. Most of the foot creams out there only do so much. Within a couple of hours my heels are back to dry and cracked. That's why I always resort to my abuelita's petroleum jelly and almond oil trick. It works every time!

Just because it's winter, doesn't mean you should neglect your feet. In fact, if you don't stay on top of it, the split skin in your cracked heels can open so wide it could make you prone to bleeding and infections. Gross right? This is exactly why you should always treat cracked feet before they get worse no matter what season you're in. Believe me, this petroleum jelly and almond oil doesn't just work, it's super easy to do too! Check it out for yourself!

What you need:

1 tablespoon of petroleum jelly

A few drops of almond oil

Socks

What to do:

1. Start off by adding 1 tablespoon of petroleum jelly to a small bowl. I also like to add in a few drops of almond oil for a more nourishing treatment.

2. Massage this mixture on your feet, focusing especially to your heels. Do this right before bed.

3. Now slip on your socks and hit the sack. In the morning you'll find your feet super soft and smooth!

It doesn't get any easier than that!
