Model’s Photoshop transformation makes us wonder why they use real women anymore (VIDEO)

It's no secret that models and celebs on the cover of magazines and ads receive the Photoshop treatment. By now we're all well aware of its magical retouching abilities. Remember how white Beyonce looked in that controversial L'Oréal ad? But the question is: How far can you really go with airbrushing? Well this mind-blowing "Body Evolution" video shows a model being completely transformed. After all the smoothing, trimming, and perfecting, the woman doesn't even look like a human anymore!

It's pretty amazing (and also discouraging) how much you can do with technology these days. In this video, that was meant to shed light on how much airbrushing and digital altering is done on models and celebs, we see a perfectly normal looking model (pictured below) transform into a Barbie-doll looking character in just a matter of seconds. Her body is made slimmer, her face left perfectly poreless, breast are made fuller, she's stretched out to look longer, her hair made more voluminous, her eyes wider, her cheek bones more defined, her stomach flatter, even her feet were made smaller.

If this is the kind of treatment models are receiving these days, it almost makes me wonder why magazines and ad companies even bother hiring them in the first place. Might as well just create a digital model, right? Scary thing is, that's probably actually going to happen one day.

It's no wonder we women are so quick to beat ourselves up about our appearances when all we're seeing is the after pictures of these photoshopped images. It's really easy to forget that these models don't actually look this perfect in real life.

Even the models themselves are starting to get annoyed by the whole practice. Victoria's Secret model Erin Heatherson once said about her photos, "I feel like it looks like someone else. I guess it's not fair … You look better, but it's a lie."

That's exactly what we have to keep reminding ourselves whenever we scroll through the pages of magazines filled with gorgeous models and stars. Of course they look perfect, they've been digitally altered to look that way. If you did the same with your photos you'd look just as flawless!
