Now that the weather is starting to drop, my combination skin keeps on getting dryer and dryer. Since none of the over-the-counter products I've tried have worked for my dry skin, I decided to whip up one of my favorite DIY beauty treatments–an oatmeal facial mask! It's a natural and inexpensive way to deeply hydrate skin.

Oatmeal masks are great for moisturizing, nourishing, and even exfoliating skin. They hydrate while also buffing away dead skin cells that can clog pores and cause a dull complexion. My abuelita got me on this stuff and I have to admit every time I use it my face looks smooth and glowy. The best part is it works on all skin types. Try it yourself with the recipe below!
What you need:
1 cup of dry oatmeal
2 tablespoons of honey
1 tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt
1/3 cup of hot water
What to do:
1. Begin by pouring the oatmeal into a food processor or blender, until it turns into a powder
2. Now mix the oatmeal powder with the 2 tablespoons of honey and a tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt.
3. Stir in the hot water until it develops into a paste-like consistency.
4. Apply the mask all over your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Use a warm, damp towel to gently remove the mask and apply a facial cream to lock in moisture.
