These are the nails the sophisticated models in the Badgley Mischka runway show were sporting–perfect to go along with the super glam retro look inspired by Tippi Hedren in the 60s film The Birds. The nail color was a bold cherry, but this time re-imagined in a matte finish and in a pointy almond shape that is very 60s. This was the vision of Deborah Lippmann, who did the nails for this show and is the owner of one of the most prestigious nail polish brands in the U.S.

The nail polish shade is Red Silk Boxers and it's part of Deborah Lippmann's Holiday 2013 collection. "The trend this fall for nails will have a lot to do with finishes and textures," Lippmann told me. "It's not about just shiny reds, it's the textures that rule the trends."
