Abuela’s beauty DIY: An all-natural home remedy for whiter teeth

I grew up with a dentist father, so I guess you can call me an expert when it comes to maintaining, healthy white teeth. I've tried it all from in-office bleaching procedures to over-the-counter whitening products, but nothing works better than an old trick I learned from my dad–baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste!

And I'm not referring to the Arm & Hammer toothpastes, even though those work pretty well too. I'm talking about a DIY baking soda and hydrogen peroxide remedy that doesn't just leave your teeth pearly white, but fights plaque, and keeps your gums healthy too. Still not convinced? Check out my recipe below and try it out for yourself!

What you need:

2 drops of hydrogen peroxide

1 teaspoon of baking soda

A tooth brush

What to do:

1. Mix the two ingredients together until it forms a paste-like consistency.

2. Try not to add more than two drops of hydrogen peroxide to the baking soda. Too much can cause your gums to temporarily form white spots. It's not harmful, but also not very attractive.

3. Now brush your teeth using the mixture like you would with a regular tooth paste.

4. I  usually like to rinse with mouth wash afterwards to kill the bitter taste.

Try brushing your teeth with this solution at least twice a week for noticeable results!
