I've never understood why so many celebs fill their cheeks with silicone. But apparently, fuller cheeks is the secret to a younger-looking face. According to a few New York dermatologists, women that are blessed with a "baby face" tend to have fuller cheeks, which apparently makes them look years younger than other women their age.
I have no clue if Jennifer Lopez's full cheeks are natural or not, but you have to admit the woman looks pretty darn good for a 44-year-old. Heck, if this is what cosmetic cheek fillers look like, then it's no wonder it's become more popular than face lifts and wrinkle fillers. Who doesn't want to look like this!

According to David E. Bank, the director of the Center for Dermatology Cosmetic and Laser Surgery in Mount Kisco, New York, filling in wrinkles could improve a woman's appearance, but doesn't necessarily give her a younger-looking appearance. "Instead of looking 25 again, they just look like a 45-year-old without wrinkles," he said. But round, plump cheeks can make a person look much more youthful.
"We're filling the smile lines less often and hitting the key points in the cheeks instead," said Dr. Joel L. Cohen, the director of About Skin Dermatology and DermSurgery in Englewood, Colorado. "Doing that, he said, not only adds volume to the cheeks but also softens and helps lift the folds by the mouth."
If you think about it, this theory actually makes a ton of sense. Whenever you see an adult with round, full cheeks they tend to look younger. It's always those women with thin faces and sunken cheeks that look older. Now I get why SO many celebrities get this procedure done, because it really does seem to work. I might not have any proof of this, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jennifer Lopez, Chiquinquirá Delgado, Giselle Blondet, and Salma Hayek have all had their cheeks filled. They're all in their 40s with young, natural-looking plump faces, so who knows? But if this is what they're using, sign me up!
