10 under $10: Affordable summer products for all your hair needs

Sometimes I feel like no matter what I do, I still can't seem to tame these rebellious tresses, especially during the summertime. Ugh! And when it comes to shopping for hair products and tools, believe me, chicas, I've learned the hard way. A wide tooth comb helps detangle wavy or curly hair without causing any kind of frizz. I like the SUN XX Wide Comb ($5). It’s built with natural oils made to protect strands from the sun’s harsh UV rays and keeps hair nourished for hours.

Anti-frizz

Fight humidity and tame frizz with an anti-frizz serum, like L'Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum ($7). It leaves hair smooth, sleek, and perfectly shiny. Love it!

Sea salt spray

Want sexy beach waves? Try a wave-boosting spray, like Organix Moroccan Sea Salt Spray ($8). It adds tons of texture and volume instantly!

For voluminous waves or curls, blow dry hair using a diffuser attachment, like Conair Pro Universal Finger Diffuser ($8). It helps maintain bounce without frizz and gives hair extra body.

Clarifying shampoo

All that beach bumming can leave hair full of product buildup and residue. Make sure to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to thoroughly cleanse your scalp. Try Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo ($1).

Repair summer hair damage quickly with the Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Damge & Color Repair Nourishing Treatment Mask ($6). It helps protect your hair color too.

Keep strands constantly hydrated with a leave-in conditioner treatment, like Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Hair Cream ($7). This left my hair incredibly soft!

Quick dry

Who has 30 minutes or more to spend blow-drying hair? Try the Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush ($10).The microfiber bristles absorbs water like a towel, making it a lot faster to style. Genius right?

Curl cream

Avoid heavy gels that can leave curls or wavy, stiff and crunchy. Instead try a curling cream, like L'Oréal Paris EverCurl Hydracharge Leave-In Cream ($9) that keeps curls super soft, defined, and frizz-free.

After-sun treatment

Strands tend to get parched and dry after hours out in the sun. Restore moisture with a nourishing hair treatment like, Alterna Summer Hair Rx After Sun Hair Quench Hydrating Gel Masque ($10). You'll see a difference in no time!
