Change your cleanser

Skin tends to get oiler during the summertime, so the last thing you want to use is a creamy, hydrating cleanser that can lead to breakouts. Instead look for a light, non-greasy foam formula that’s going to thoroughly remove any dirt and oils from your pores and brighten your complexion. Try Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser ($20).

Get a lighter moisturizer

Look for an oil-free moisturizer that also includes SPF to keep your skin smooth and protected. I love Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF 35 ($11).

Lose the liquid foundation

Unless you want to walk around with melting makeup, you should consider doing away with the liquid foundation this season. It’s important to give your skin some breathing room. A tinted moisturizer, like Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 ($43) moisturizes, lightly covers, protects, and even leaves skin with a healthy looking glow.

Try a setting spray

For those days where you just can’t help but doll yourself in a full face of makeup, try holding it with a setting spray, like Urban Decay All Night Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ($30). Take that humidity!

Banish shine

Nothing looks works than an extra greasy looking face, so remove shine with Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets  ($6). They work every time.

Sunscreen your hair

Protect your strands from the sun’s harmful rays with a hair sun protective product, like Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil ($27). Believe me, you'll notice the difference.

Use a waterproof mascara

Unless you want black running down your face, switch to a waterproof volumizing and lengthening mascara. I love the CoverGirl LashBlast Clump Crusher Water-Resistant Mascara ($7). It stays on all day and leaves absolutely no pesky clumps!

Fight frizz

Keep your strands frizz-free with anti-frizz serum or spray, like Ouidad Climate Control Frizz & Flyaway Fighter ($22). Just because it’s humid out doesn’t mean your hair has to look like a hot mess.
