Bikini season__ is here ladies and that means one thing: it's time to get bare. But let's face it–even if you can manage to work out five to six days a week from now to summer, you still may not get the perfectly trim and toned results you're looking for. No need to panic! Luckily, there are ways to fake a fit, beach-ready body without having to kill yourself at the gym. Check out a few of my tips below to get you looking sexy, bronzed, and flawless the next time you throw on a swimsuit!

Fake a tan: A nice tan can make you look instantly toned. It even helps define abs and brings out your muscle definition. Avoid harmful sun damage, by dabbing on a self-tanning lotion all over instead. I love Jergens Natural Glow 3 Days to Glow Moisturizer ($8). It works with your skin tone to create a shade that's gradual and natural-looking.
Remove hair slowly: There's nothing more nerve-racking than showing up to the beach with annoying hair on your legs and bikini line. Not cute! Make sure you go get a wax the day before hitting the beach or if you're going to shave do it slowly, making sure you don't miss any hairs. You want to make do this at least a day before because the salt water can wind up irritating your skin.
Avoid the bloat: Stay away from foods or beverages that day or the day before you hit the beach that can cause gas or bloating. Pretty much anything too sugary or that's high in sodium. Instead try snacking on fruits, like melons that will keep you hydrated without the bloat.
Exfoliate: The best trick to getting smooth, radiant skin during the summer is exfoliating. Try showering with a body scrub, like Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish ($65). Rub it on using a circular motion and make sure to spend some extra time on those rough areas, like elbows and knees.
Use sunscreen: Avoid painful not-cute sun burn by making sure to ALWAYS apply a sunscreen before hitting the beach or the pool. Look for an oil-free one that's not too greasy and won't make you breakout. Try Murad Oil Free Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($32).
