What's up with women these days and wanting to look like dolls? A young Japanese woman has undergone a series of plastic surgeries that have cost her close to $102,000–just to look like a French porcelain doll! The model known as Vanilla Chamu has had so much work done she's practically unrecognizable. If you saw a picture of how she looked before all the plastic surgery you wouldn't believe it's the same person. So sad!

Vanilla has had everything from a double-eyelid surgery (a procedure that's popular among Asian women that includes cutting the outer end of the eye to make them wider and rounder), a nose job (to make the nose look straighter and more western), breast implants, liposuction, dimple creation, eyelash implants, among many more. And the she's not stopping there either. Vanilla plans on undergoing height lengthening surgery along with more procedures until she meets her goal to become a "perfect living French doll."
She's had more than 30 cosmetic procedures so far that have cost her close to $102,000 and started undergoing the surgeries when she was only 19 years old. Vanilla has also been able to capitalize on her new looks, pursuing a career in modeling and pop music since her transformation.
Whenever I hear about women who want to be real-life dolls, I'm disturbed but also extremely sad for them. There's nothing normal about wanting to look like something plastic and it really makes me not only question these women's self-esteem, but also their mental state. And while I thought that Valeria Lukyanova (the Ukrainian model who calls herself the Human Barbie) and her transformation was freaky, this is that much more disturbing to me. Especially because not only is Vanilla trying to look like a doll, but essentially she's also transformed her race.
What once looked like a beautiful young Japanese girl now looks like a Western plastic surgery drag queen. It's heart-breaking to me that this woman couldn't see how beautiful she was naturally and that she's gone through all these procedures that are slowly but surely turning her into a plastic surgery nightmare. She obviously needs psychological help and I wish she would have gotten it before taking things as far as she already has. I hope she realizes that before undergoing any more procedures.
