If I could describe my beauty style in one word it would be: minimalist. I'm the type of person too impatient to put on a full face of makeup so any shortcuts I can take are ideal, which is why I LOVE tinted moisturizer. Whoever came up with the concept of mixing a moisturizer and foundation in one product was a GENIUS.
Thankfully I was lucky enough to try out Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 – Oil-Free ($43) and Covergirl Smoothers SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer BB Cream ($6), and the results were close. So which product did I favor in the end? Read on to find out!

I've heard from many friends that they LOVE __Laura Mercier'__s tinted moisturizer and guess what? I can see why! Not only is their tinted moisturizer lightweight and mistake-proof, but it blended so well that it looked natural. All I needed to do was apply a little bit to see noticeable coverage right away. And the product is free of oils, so I wasn't worried that my acne-prone skin was going to flare up in unsightly breakouts. It also didn't appear cakey and looked smooth on my skin after application. Although a tube can cost you a little over 40 bucks, it was WELL WORTH it because it got the job done and made my skin look excellent!
The Covergirl Smoothers tinted moisturizer was on the cheaper side, but did a great job as well. It offered less variety of shades unlike Laura Mercier, but for the most part it approximately matched my skin tone. It also went on lightweight and had its own SPF, but I needed to apply a couple of layers to see a difference on my skin. I would definitely get this one if I needed to buy a tinted moisturizer that didn't cost thta much.
However, my favorite was hands down Laura Mercier. I couldn't stop raving about it and although pricey, I wouldn't mind spending a little more. It goes on so easy that even newbies to tinted moisturizer can successfully apply it. You won't complain about it coming off because it's long lasting and it's oil-free, so no need to worry about clogged pores. This is a must-have product that every busy woman and mom needs in her makeup bag for a quick fixer upper.
