I recently came across a picture of Jennifer Lopez sporting a sleek and simple white manicure and I'm not talking white tips on a old school French mani. I mean completely white nails. No, they don't look like they're painted with white-out! This neutral shade is so fresh and clean, it compliments any spring outfit. And did I mention it looks especially great on medium, tan, and dark skin! It's definitely a nice change from all the busy nail art we had seen last year, that's for sure. The best part about is that it' SUPER easy to do. Need proof? Check out a few of my simple steps below to help you nail this effortlessly chic look at home!

Step 1: White polish works on most nail lengths and shapes. But if you're going for a crisp, clean look file long nails into a round shape and keep short nails square.
Step 2: Make sure to coat nails with a base coat so that the polish goes on smoothly and holds. I like Essie First Base Coat ($8).
Step 3: Rich, opaque polishes can wind up looking streaky and chalky. Think white-out effect! Instead try a shimmery, sheer white, like Orly Nail Lacquer in Gogo. For best results, layer on 3 coats.
Step 4: Add a top coat to help seal in the color and prevent any chipping or smudging. I love the high-gloss effect on OPI Top Coat ($8).
Step 5: Complete your look with some chic rings!
