1. For your hair: Whenever my hair was looking dull or dry, my mamá would always whip up an all-natural avocado hair mask. Just combine 2 egg yolks and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil with half of a mashed up avocado. Leave it in your hair for no more than 15 minutes, then wash and condition as usual. Your hair will be boosting with shine!
2. For your body: Is your skin feeling kind of dry lately? Moisturize it with a deeply hydrating avocado body butter. Take 1 mashed up avocado and combine it with a teaspoon of olive oil. Blend the two ingredients together and they slather on the mixture all over your body, paying special attention to those extra rough spots, like elbows, knees, and heels. You might want to make sure you're doing this in the shower of course. After 10 to 15 minutes, rinse it off with cool water. Apply a body cream afterwards to help lock in moisture.
3. For your face: The rich vitamins in avocado can help promote a bright, healthy looking complexion. Try a facial mask, by mashing up half an avocado in a small bowl, mixing in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Make sure to wash your face before applying a thin layer of the avocado puree. Leave the mask on for 15 to 30 minutes or until it's fully dry. Then rinse out with lukewarm water. I like to let my face air dry so that it absorbs the water and follow with a facial moisturizer.
4. Avocado foot treatment: Now that spring is here you want to make sure your feet are looking their best. Keep them smooth and baby soft with an avocado foot treatment. All you need is half a mashed avocado, 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of rice ban, and 10 drops of any essential oil of your choice. I like coconut oil for its amazing absorbing qualities. Now mix all these ingredients in a small bowl until you form a smooth paste. Then gently massage the treatment onto feet, focusing especially on your heels. Leave the treatment in for about 20 minutes then rinse out. Coat feet with petroleum jelly or a hydrating foot cream and then immediately slip on some socks. In the morning your feet will look like you just had a professional pedicure.
