The dark indigo varnish goes on glossy and then dries to a classic denim effect finish. It also comes with mini silver and gold stud stars for those of you who really like to go hard on the nail art. This trend got hot ever since Chanel debuted their blue nail polish collection back in 2011. But as talked about as this style might be, I can't say I'm totally feeling it. I love myself some dark blue jeans, but on my nails, um, not so much!
If you can totally see yourself rocking denim nails, though, and can't wait another month to jump on this trend, you might want to consider creating a denim-themed manicure using some navy blue polishes. I recommend in Butter London Nail Lacquer in Royal Navy ($15) or Orly Nail Lacquer in In The Navy ($9). Then paint on some stitching detail using a white polish and nail art brush. That's if you REALLY can't wait unti next month.
It's strange because I normally LOVE the nail polishes Nails Inc. comes out with. They're always on top of the latest nail art trends and I wouldn't be surprised if this one catches on quickly. But even so, just the idea of sporting denim nails just seems so 80s to me. It could just be me. Anyway, I wonder what they'll come up with next. Tweed nails maybe?
