Comb: Liza always starts off by combing her eyebrows using an eyebrow brush to help smooth unruly hairs and create shape. She uses Maybelline Eyestudio Master Shape Brow Pencil Duo ($8) that comes complete with a pencil and brush on the other side. But any basis brow brush would do.

Pencil them in: To create a defined arch, she gently outlines the top and bottom of her eyebrows using an eyebrow pencil or dipping an angled brow brush into a brow gel cream, like MAC Deep Brunette Fluidline Brow Gelcreme ($16) to outline the shape of the brows. "It's always best to use a color a shade or two lighter than your hair," says Liza.

Fill in spots: Then she fills them in using the same pencil or gel cream formula. "I always start in the middle and blend towards the back. You don't want too much color in the front because it will look very dark and unnatural," says Liza. You can also use a brow powder to make your brows look lighter or darker, depending on what you're going for. Try Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo ($23).

Keep it neat: Make sure to remove any excess hairs that are popping up outside your arch to keep your brows looking neat. Try an angled tip sharp tweezer for précised removal. I like Tweezerman Pink Perfection Point Tweezers ($22).

Use concealer: Liza also applies concealer right under and right above her brows using an angled brush to give them a sharp shape. "Blending after is key otherwise they don't look sharp," she says. This is especially helpful on those days you don't have time to pluck away those access pelitos (hairs).

Keep hair in place: Just because you want fuller-looking brows doesn't mean they should be crazy messy and bushy. Try setting your brows with an eyebrow gel or clear mascara to hold the look in place. I like Sonia Kashuk Brow Gel ($6).
