Eva Mendes is launching her own clothing line & I can’t wait to buy it

Is it me or is every celebrity out there coming out with a new fashion line? Eva Mendes is the latest to hop on the fashion entrepreneur bandwagon, who according to Women's Wear Daily, will be partnering with New York & Company to launch her very own line called, Eva by Eva Mendes set to hit stores this fall. While the collaboration initially took me by surprise (since New York & Company is best known for women's work attire), it looks like the brand is looking to expand their day and evening wear and who better for inspiration than Eva Mendes?

"When we asked our customers to name the celebrity they aspired to be, (Eva's) name came up again and again. Based on that, we went out and pursued her. It was a very long courtship," Greg Scott, Chief Executive Officer of New York & Company told WWD. The new ready-to-wear line is expected to draw it's inspiration from both Eva's personal style and her red carpet expertise. I'm personally a huge fan of Eva's cool, casual style. So if her line winds up being anything like the outfits she's always caught wearing (like her bold, printed pants or her glamorous turban) then you can bet I'll be the first one online when the collection finally makes its way to stores!

The gorgeous Cuban actress seems to be taking a hands-on role with the line as well, as she will be approving of all the styles before they go into production. Eva, who has been the previous face and model for Thierry Mugler's Angel, Pantene, Calvin Klein, Revlon and Reebok will also be appearing in a series of advertisements wearing her designs, as well as attending a number of events where she'll be given the opportunity to interact with potential customers. Does that mean we can expect to see Ryan Gosling at some of her events? Hey, a girl can dream right?
