Step 1 Choose your polishes: Mar y Soul used 4 shades from the 45 high gloss colors of CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brillant Nail Gloss Collection. But feel free to use similar shades.

Step 2 Prep nails: File and buff nails into your desired nail shape. I like to use a dual-sized, flexible nail file, like Tweezerman Filemate ($5). The great thing about this design is that it looks great on all shapes, square, round, almond and even pointy.

Step 3 Paint: Mar y Soul started off by applying two coats of Lasting Love #180 ($5) a deep red shade.

Step  4 Layer: She then used the polish in Timeless Rubies #315 ($5) and applied one coat to her middle finger. Wait three minutes to dry.

Step 5 Design: Afterwards, Mar y Soul drew a heart on her middle finger using the Everbloom #160 ($5) shade. If you have shaky hands like me try dipping a nail art brush into the bottle. This will help you keep your design neat and precise. Try ASP Nail Art Brush Set ($15).

Step 6 Finish: Once it dried, Mar y Soul drew a small line in the heart using the Constant Candy #135 ($5) shade to help create depth in the heart. No top coat needed.

And viola! A V-day manicure made to steal hearts!
