Model and mommy Alessandra Ambrosio set to launch her own fashion line

It looks like there's another Victoria's Secret model trying her hand at designing clothes these days: Alessandra Ambrosio has her sights set on venturing outside of the lingerie world with a new fashion and lifestyle brand, called Alé by Alessandra. According to WWD, the Brazilian model will be teaming up with retailer Cherokee to launch a line that has been inspired by her Brazilian and Malibu lifestyle. Based on Alessandra's personal style, I'm expecting to see a whole lot of beachy, boho pieces. Anything from colorful maxi dresses to chic tribal prints.

You know you've made it as a model once you've earned the title of a Victoria's Secret Angel. There have been quite a few Angels who have enjoyed a level of success outside of their modeling career, like Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Gisele  Bündchen, Adriana Lima, and even Miranda Kerr who started her own organic skincare line called KORA Organics. So it's no surprise to anyone that Ambrosio is taking her career to the next level. In fact with a name as recognized as hers, it's pretty much expected.

"This is not a hobby for me. I've been a fashion model for 15 years and designing is just an extension of my career," she told WWD. She still plans on modeling for Victoria's Secret but the line seems to be something she plans on doing for the long run.

Alé by Alessandra is set to debut spring 2014. It will feature casual daywear clothing and formal evening pieces that will be aimed at women ages 18 to 35. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Hey, anything that's going to make me look anything close to a Victoria's Secret model sounds good to me!

Best part? It's going to be accessibly priced. So everyone will be able to afford her designs.
