If there's one thing I can't live without, it's got to be eyeliner! It's amazing how all I need to do is line my eyes a little bit to look instantly awake and perfectly pulled together.
Unfortunately, not all eyeliners get the job done. For years I've dropped $25 or $30 on eyeliners because I couldn't find an affordable one that met my standards. I often found myself in the middle of the day with cheap liner running down my face or smudged and smeared. It was only recently that I decided to give drugstore eyeliners another chance, and I have to admit you can definitely get a great eyeliner without breaking the bank! In fact you can find an amazing one that would cost you well under $10. So to save you some time (and a whole lot of patience) I took the liberty of testing out a number of affordable liners to give you the top 10 liners under $10 you have to try. Check them out!

Precise liner
Maybelline Eye Studio Precise Liquid Liner ($7): This is hands down my favorite drugstore liner. The liquid liner features a felt tip that makes it super easy to master any eyeliner look. I’ve learned how to nail a perfect cat-eye with this liner in less than a minute. Best part? It doesn’t dry or drip!
Liquid eyeliner
Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner ($8): I’m pretty picky with my liquid liners and was surprised at how easy it was to apply this one on. The flexible tip made it easy to create smooth and neat strokes without the smudging or the smearing.
Gel liner
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner ($10) I used this gel formula when I covered the Latin Grammys Awards this past fall and have been hooked ever since! This 24 hour liner glides on smoothly (just as well as any department store version) and stays intact for hours. It comes complete with an eyeliner brush too!
Liquid eyeliner
Wet N Wild MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner ($3): My sister swore on this liner for years and it was only recently that I decided to finally see what the fuss was all about. I was easily able to create a dramatic look with just one stroke. For a liner that cost well under $5, I’m impressed!
Liner/highlighter
Almay Wake-Up Eyeliner Plus Highlighter ($8): For those days when I need a little pick-me-up, I like to add a highlighting liner to my lower eye rims. This liner does that and more. The dual-ended eyeliner includes a creamy eyeliner on one side and a highlighter on the other to help give you that wide-awake, well rested look.
Pencil liner
Rimmel London Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil ($4): When it comes to doing a smoky eye, you absolutely need an eyeliner pencil. This one isn’t just easily to apply, but blends easily too.
