Jessica Alba complemented her peach Oscar de La Renta couture gown and tangerine colored pout with gorgeous vintage-inspired Veronica Lake-esque waves. You can achieve this look by using a 1 inch wand or barrel curling iron. After hair cools, then take a comb and gently brush through the curls to create smooth, uniformed waves.

Lorenzo Martin for L’Oreal Paris created Jennifer Lopez’s old Hollywood look tonight by prepping her hair with a quarter size amount of L’Oreal Paris EverCurl Sculpt & Hold Cream-Gel ($9). He then used a 1 inch curling iron and gently sprayed a texturizing spray to each section to hold the curl and add texture. Curls were then pinned with bobby pins for 15 minutes, then released and brushed out with a medium round brush. A deep side part kept the retro-inspired look modern.

The socialite turned designer paired a bold blue eyeshadow look with classic loose waves. Use a strong but flexible hold hairspray, like Pantene Pro-V Classic Style Touchable Aerosol Hairspray ($12) to hold the look.

The Homeland actress sported sleek short waves and a fierce charcoal metallic smoky eye tonight. For short hair like Morena’s use a forming wax like Frederic Fekkai COIFF Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax ($25) before curling.
