Lips in bold hot pink are on trend this season and I'm quickly beginning to see why. Nearly neon pink pouts give off a super feminine flair that's also quite edgy. Just look at how amazing Jennifer Lopez looked at the UNESCO Charity Gala back in October sporting the vibrant trend. It's a color that's not limited to one specific season either, you can easily rock it throughout the winter and again in the spring. Best part? This universally flattering hue looks great on all skin tones! "What I love about the trend is that you can wear your lips in a bold manner or just add a small dab for a pop of color," says celebrity makeup artist Stephanie Flor. I had a chat with Flor on how to get the perfect hot pink pout. Check out a few of her easy-to-follow tips below!

Find your perfect shade: "The best way to choose a great hot pink is to notice the color that your cheeks turn when in the cold. If you tend to get really red go super bright, but if you're more of a soft pink, try a softer hot pink," she told me. I love Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage for medium and dark skin tones.
Apply: Flor says: "Use a lip liner to define the lip shape. Then follow with a lip brush applying just in the inner pout to add dimension. Then spread the color by pressing lips together–the lipstick color will spread onto the lip liner creating that volume effect. The idea is a sharp liner so the color won't bleed. You can wear one flat lip color but it's always nice to flatter the color with a lip liner that's one shade darker. It gives it an extra glamorous touch."
Finish: "Apply a high pigment shadow in a soft netural shade, like MAC Pure Pigment in Vanilla on your lips using a small makeup brush to brighten and matte your lip color. Dab on a small amount. Instant perfection!"
