Use a night serum

A night serum plumps skin with more moisture over night, leaving it soft, youthful and radiant by morning. Try Lancome Absolute Ultimate Night Recovery & Replenishing Serum ($170).

Apply an eye cream

Look for an eye cream, like Dr. Brandt Lineless Eye Cream ($60), that includes antioxidant-enriched ingredients like vitamin C, E and green tea extract. The caffeine found in green tea not only minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but it also reduces overnight water accumulation that can cause eyes to puff.

Remove makeup

Unless you want to wake up with some smudgy raccoon eyes, make sure to thoroughly remove makeup with a gentle makeup remover, like Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover ($18).Then follow up with a facial cleanser.

Do your hair before bed

If you’d rather get an extra hour of shut-eye than fuss with your hair in the morning, consider washing and styling it the night before. If your fine strands tend to oil up by the time you get up, spray a dry shampoo to your roots before bed. This will help soak up the oils and sweat that produce while you’re sleeping. I like TRESsemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo Spray ($6).

Revitalize curls

If I see that my curls are already started to look lifeless by the evening, I touch them up with a thin 1/2-inch curling iron, like Hot Tools Professional Spring Iron for Extra-Tight Curls ($40) making sure to make my ringlets tighter than it’s natural curl pattern. By morning your curls will loosen and soften and you’ll be good to go!

Skip the salt

To avoid any morning bloat, try not to eat anything at least two hours before heading to bed. If you’re absolutely craving a midnight snack, try to avoid anything salty. Instead have an apple, which works as a natural anti-inflammatory.

Get some sleep

One of the best things anyone can tell you is you look "rested." That’s because when you sleep, you look better in the morning. It’s pretty straightforward. If you’re a light sleeper, try a sleep mask, like Spa Sister Silk Sleep Mask ($11).
