Emerald green
Emerald green is Pantone’s top color for 2013. I love the way the vibrant color looks on this super chic asymmetrical dress. I’d wear it with some nude ankle-strap platform sandals, for a look that’s both feminine and very fashion- forward.

Acid wash jeans
Acid wash jeans are going to be back next season, but to prevent from looking to 80s, try a neutral gray shade like these. This color would look great paired with bright tops or accessories.

Bermuda shorts
I have to admit, I was pretty excited when I heard these shorts were coming back in style. Bermuda shorts were seen all over the Spring 2013 Fashion Week runways shows like Rachel Zoe and DKNY. These cool-girl shorts are not just flattering on all figures, but they can also be easily dressed up or down.

Trumpet skirt
Trumpet skirts are this spring’s new peplum skirt. I love the way this flirty, figure-flattering number swishes while you walk.

Harness dress
The harness design was seen at a number of the Spring 2013 Fashion Week shows including Hervé Léger. The leather faux leather panels on this black dress is no longer a risqué taboo, but rather an edgy accent. Try it if you dare.

It looks like the color-block trend is here to stay. I love the chic contrast on this sophisticated top.

Burglar stripes
For a figure-flattering look, opt for a top that features a black and white vertical stripe pattern. Colorful horizontal lines can give the dillusion of a wider figure.

Holographic fabrics give off a very sleek and sophisticated look. I especially love it on pointy pumps!
