I'm loving the nail polish colors that are coming out this spring so much, that even though its still winter, I can hardly wait to start painting them on my fingers. Unlike previous seasons, the looks at the New York Mercedes-Benz Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Week shows ranged from light and barely there to dark and dangerously chic. We noticed everything from pure whites, glamorous metallics, to even vamp purples. Talk about contrast! These pretty varnishes will perfectly complement all the bold and feminine silhouettes we can look forward to seeing on the racks come March. Opaque white
I was surprised to see models sporting pure white manicures at the Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, and Chanel Spring 2013 shows this September. These soft milky shades are next year's new nudes. Try Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Nail Color in White On ($3).
Emerald
According to Pantone, 2013 is going to be all about emerald. The rich and vibrant shade looks great against warm neutrals and bold and bright apparels. I love OPI Nail Lacquer in Jade is the New Black ($7).
Mint green
If you can’t see yourself playing off a dark green, try an innocently lighter hue, like Zoya Nail Polish in Neely ($8). This creamy varnish is so soft and subtle it works perfectly as a neutral.
Dark purple
