Latina celebs show you how to find your perfect shade of nude lipstick

Finding the perfect nude lipstick might seem like a no brainer, but there's actually a science to mastering the look. For starters, not all nude lip colors are created equal. A beige or pink based nude shade can look chalky and unflattering on women with medium or dark skin tones. The basic rule to choosing a nude lip color is finding one that goes with your skin's undertones. If you have fair or light skin you might want to opt for cooler shades while medium and darker complexions should choose a warmer color. The idea is to emphasize the natural color of your lips.Check out a few of my tips below to find the nude that's best for you!

Women with fair skin like Penélope Cruz tend to have blue or pink undertones. To bring some warmth to your face, try a beige-based nude lipstick, like Koh Gen Do Lipstick in Nude Beige ($39). This will  blend perfectly with your lip’s natural color.

If you have a light complexion like Camilla Belle, you want to go for a pinkish nude shade, like Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick in Skinny Dip ($18)

Peachy nudes play up the yellow undertones in olive skin tones like Jennifer Lopez’s. Try a sheer lipgloss that includes a tint of peach, like Sephora Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Shiny Natural Look ($14).

If you have tan, caramel, or light brown skin like Camila Alves, try a nude lipgloss with a little bit of a berry tint. I’m obsessed with L’Oréal Paris Infallible 8 HR Le Gloss in Barely Nude ($10).

For skin tones like Zoe Saldana’s or darker, try a brown-based nude lipstick, like M.A.C Lipstick in Siss ($15).
