Burglar stripes

This spring season is all about the reemergence of black and white stripes. Classic burglar stripes were displayed at various shows, like Michael Kors (pictured here), Dolce & Gabbana, and Marc Jacobs. For a slimming effect, go for a black and white vertical stripe pattern.

Bermuda shorts

Cool, slouchy Bermuda shorts are making a strong comeback this spring. The styles was seen at a number of runway shows like Rachel Zoe (pictured here) and DKNY. These classic shorts flatter most figures and the length makes them work even for the office.

Harness design

This spring, the harness dress is going to be huge. The Fifty Shades of Grey inspired design features edgy leather binding over feminine silhouettes, giving off a super sexy appeal. I absolutely the way the style looks on this Spring 2013 Hervé Léger body- conscious number.

Bright blues

Don’t throw away any of your cobalt blue pieces just yet, this bold color has developed some lasting power that will carry over into the spring season. And the cool blue and sheer panel dress seen here from the Stella McCartney Spring 2013 Fashion Week show back in September proves it. The great thing about this vibrant shade is that it complements almost all skin tones.

Ruffles

Ruffles were used to sculpt otherwise minimalist designs at the J.W Anderson, Gucci  (pictured here), and Peter Pilotto shows during Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week. This retro-inspired style gives off a very elegant and ladylike look.

M-Slits

Feel like flaunting a little leg? Show off both with a super sexy M-slit design. This skirt features a second slice that works to reveal shapely legs. This particular one was seen at the Roberto Cavailli Spring 2013 Fashion Week show.

Short suits

There’s something so sexy yet sophisticated about a shorts suit. I love the high waist on the shorts that were displayed at the Jason Wu Spring 2013 Fashion week show. All you need is a pair of chic pointy pumps and a stylish clutch for a sleek, evening look.

Stencil design

Intricate stencil designs were seen at the Spring 2013 runway shows of Chloé (pictured here), Derek Lam, Alexander Wang and Bluemarine. The slightly revealing pattern gives off a architectural look that’s also quite sensual.

Black & white

Black & white contrast designs will still be going strong next season showing up on your dresses, blazers, blouses and everything else you can possibly think of. The neutral combo works great all year round. This design was seen at the Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Fashion Week show.

Color-block

Expect to see more bright and beautiful color-blocking this coming spring. The models at Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2013 Fashion Week show (pictured) walked the runway displaying an array of fluorescent yellows, oranges, and greens.
