With Halloween just around the corner, I couldn't help but notice all the ridiculously insane bordering-on-inappropriate costumes that have hit the racks this year. I'm talking super skanky, over-the-top and just plain not cool! It was just the other day I was having a conversation about this with my boyfriend, who claims that Halloween has become an excuse for women to dress (or not dress at all, rather) completely inappropriately and men to look like total asses. I mean, he kind of has a point.

And don't get me started on some of the stupid male costumes I've seen. Like the Crotch Rocket (see below) for instance, which I don't think needs much explanation. Whatever happened to the days when people got really REALLY creative with their costumes, when women painted amazing costume makeup on their faces and men went all out? But no, now so many people just get stupid costumes that they THINK are cute or funny.

Being a big Gnome fan myself (yes, I have some in my backyard), I happen to find this costume kind of offensive. Why would anyone want to sex-ify this cute little humanoid creature that likes to live in gardens? That’s just plain wrong!

Slutty Big Bird is WRONG
Growing up I was a HUGE Big Bird fan. I had everything from a Big Bird talking doll, to a comforter set, to even chancletas with his face. So this SO NOT how I want to remember him!
