Part of being a beauty and fashion writer is having to attend lots of events. On Thursday night, I was fortunate enough to make it out to the InGenuity event where celebrity mom Tia Mowry shared a few of her own parenting tips. I've been a huge fan of Tia and Tamera since their Sister Sister days and try not to miss a single episode of their reality series Tia & Tamera on the Style network. As usual, Tia looked absolutely amazing with her new pixie haircut, so I was really excited when she decided to share a little bit about the cut and some of her getting-beautiful-fast tricks!

"I am so excited that I decided to cut my hair. I just get in the shower, put some conditioner and I'm ready to go," Tia said. "I cried when I first chopped it off. My advice is to not think about it too much if you want to go short, because you won't do it. But it's very liberating and saves a lot of time."
So even though Tia always looks gorgeous and fashionable, like most moms, she's always looking for ways to save time but still looked pulled together. Check out a few tips inspired by Tia to help you look fabulous but still save time!
Skip the shampoo. Save yourself some time by washing and styling your hair the night before. Still no time? Then try using a dry shampoo in between washes. It will refresh your hair, by removing oil and odor while also adding instant volume! Try Aveeno Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo ($8).
Go for a simple style. If your hair isn't cooperating and you're short on time, opt for a easy but stylish hairstyle like a top knot or low messy bun. Try Sarah Potempa The Wrap Up ($12). This hair gadget helps you get a perfect bun in just a matter of seconds!
Kill two birds with one stone and cover while moisturizing. I usually apply a light-weight moisturizer to my face every morning followed by sunscreen, concealer, and foundation. Speed it up with a tinted moisturizer with SPF. Tinted moisturizers even out your skin tone, protect against UV, and are better for your skin than most liquid foundations. I love Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 ($43). This lightweight formula allows me to skip my usual 4-step process and comes in a wide variety of shades!
Use bronzer. For a quick hit of radiance, brush on a dusting of bronzer all over cheeks, chin and around your hairline. This will give you an instant glow! Try Rimmel London Natural Bronzer ($5).
Lighter liner. The baby may have kept you up all night, but no one has to know! For those mornings when you need a quick eye brightener, apply a nude colored pencil eyeliner on your lower inner eye rims for wide-awake looking eyes. You may not feel it, but you'll look pretty rested!
Try a lip stain. Whenever I don't have time to do my makeup (or I'm just feeling lazy) I smack on a bright lipstain for an instant pop. A bold lip color draws all the attention on your pout, so no one will notice if you forgot to put mascara that day! I love Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Amused ($24).
