Step 1: Begin by applying a smoothing blow-dry lotion to damp hair, like Redken Satinwear 02 Prepping Blowdry Lotion. Then use a blow dryer to straighten.
Step 2: Divide hair into two sections, one for the braid and one for the ponytail. Keep in mind one section should be a lot thicker than the other. Start at your crown, and create a tight French braid using the thinner section of hair. Once you reach the nape of your neck, stop braiding and let the rest of your hair flow with the other section. Then pull all your hair, including the braided section, into a very low side ponytail on the side that had the thicker section of hair, securing all of it with an elastic.
Step 3: Lastly, take a strand of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic (to hide), securing with small bobby pins. For a shiny, sleek hold, spray a shine hairspray like, Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Spray to hair.
