I was a little disappointed to see that our favorite funny girl, Sofia Vergara didn't take home the 2012 Emmy Award for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series," for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on ABC's Modern Family. Instead her co-star, Julie Bowen won for her role as Claire Dunphy, marking her second win and third nomination. The good news is that it was a Modern Family cast member who won the award. The bad news, is that I was really hoping the Colombian actress would win this time around. This was Sofia's third Emmy nomination so far. But I'm still pretty excited to see who some of the other winners will be tonight.

It looks like tonight really wasn't Sofia's night. As far as fashion goes, the stars looked pretty glam and polished on the red carpet tonight for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. The gorgeous Modern Family actress sported a sea green Zuhair gown and accessorized her sexy sparkler with Neil Lane jewelry and her usual loose waves. But, I have to admit, I didn't exactly feel like Sofia was shining her brightest tonight.
I have to say, I wasn't a fan of her look tonight. I think the only thing I liked about the form-fitted gown was that it perfectly hugged the actress's curves. The turquoise glittery fabric took the concept of "mermaid-style" a bit too literally for my taste. She sort of looks like Ariel from The Little Mermaid, no? I'm wondering if the bad fashion choice had something to do with her missing out on the Emmy tonight. Either way, we still love you Sofia and hoping Modern Family wins for best comedy show!
