Having had the opportunity to test almost every single beauty product out there over the years has been a dream come true. I love writing about the topic, and am passionate about beauty products in all categories. This time of the year I'm all about damage repair when it comes to setting a beauty routine that will help my skin, body, and hair get back to its pre-Summer condition. And since I'm also obssesed with hair, what better exercise than to test and compare two top brands that sell the promise of "healthy, shiny, sexy hair in no time"?
L'Oréal EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque might be the more affordable option of the two at stake in this test but by no means feels any less luxurious than the Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask.
The first one, a new sulfate-free formula created under the EverPure hair care system, is particularly great if you color treat your hair. Sulfate-free? Why should you favor sulfate-free hair products? Well, you've invested time and money into achieving beautiful vibrant color, and sulfates present in some of your favorite beauty products will end up fading your hair color faster. Choosing a line of products that is sulfate-free will help keep color pure while cleansing and conditioning your hair. In the case of L'Oréal EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque, it's the knowledge that I'm taking the special care that my color treated hair requires what sold me on this nourishing masque. At $9 this product met and exceeded my expectations. The mix of rosemary and mint makes for a wonderful spa like experience and definitely provides for a conditioning treatment that gives hair instant softness right in the shower.
The Moroccanoil mask, a high-performance treatment that is rich in argan oil is a real treat! Argan oil will typically be something with which a brand has me at "hello." While I particularly LOVE the smell of the Moroccanoil mask, what I found to be the biggest plus as compared to L'Oréal's formula, is the fact that this one is easier to rinse off. It deep conditions but doesn't leave the oily residue. Yes, it is a luxury item at close to five times the price of L'Oréal's depending on where you buy them, but many of my friends swear by this product and save each penny to indulge in a product that is a clear favorite.
If what you're looking for is bringing back the shine to your dull hair, true repair to split ends and nourishment to your chemically treated hair, go for the Moroccanoil if you can afford to. Would rather spend the extra money in something else? The EverPure Masque will most definitely do the job too!
