At th__e Spring 2013 Zac Posen show at New York Fashion Week,__ there was lots of sleek, wavy hair. Drawing inspiration from polished wood, John Frieda Global Creative Consultant, Luigi Murenu created a looked he described as "chic, elegant and timeless."
I don't know about you, but I absolutely love these retro, glamour waves. I can totally see myself sporting this look on a Saturday night. Luckily for me we got the scoop on how to get the look from Murenu himself. Check out his easy-to-follow tips below!

Step 1: Murenu's vision was to meld two looks into one, a graphic style in the front and a soft wave in the back. He started off by keeping the crown frizz-free and applied a dime-size amount of John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum Original Formula, smoothing hair downward from the top of the head to below the ear.
Step 2: He then applied John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse evenly through hair and then brushed to uniformly distribute product.
Step 3: Murenu created a severe middle part and blow dried hair completely, brushing hair back and away from the face to make the hair at the crown flat and smooth.
Step 4: Using a 1-inch curling iron, Murenu created a wave by wrapping a small section of hair twice around the barrel. He made sure to stop before reaching the nape of the neck to keep the crown flat. Then he brushed hair flat out to create one uniform wave.
Step 5: He followed with John Frieda Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray to keep the style in place.
So tell us, what do you think about this retro hairstyle?
