Exfoliate. Cooler temperatures tend to leave skin flaky and dull. While exfoliating might seem unnecessary, it's an important step to help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Remember that over-exfoliating can irritate your skin and even cause breakouts, so try not to exfoliate more than once a week and opt for a gentle facial scrub like Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub.

Bring on the moisture. The moisturizer you've been using all summer might not cut it for the fall. The weather change requires a more hydrating and nourishing formula. Keep your skin healthy in the upcoming months with an oil-free moisturizer like Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator for your face, to rehydrate while preventing future breakouts. Opt for a rich, yet fast absorbing formula for your body like Aveeno Skin Relief 24-Hour Moisturizing Lotion.

Do a facial. Re-do some of that summer sun damage with an at-home hydrating mask, like Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, that contains black tea ferment and jicima root juice, that works to deeply hydrate, nourish and smooth your skin.

Don't ditch the sunscreen. Even though UV rays tend to be less strong in the fall, this does NOT mean you should skip out on the sun protection! Keep your skin healthy and protected by applying a generous amount of sunscreen everyday to exposed areas. Opt for a sheer and weightless formula like Cane + Austin Ulta Sheer Weightless Sunscreen SPF 55.

Hydrate your pout. Nothing irks me more than chapped lips! I love to keep my pout soft and conditioned with a hydrating lip balm like Burt's Bees Refreshing Lip Calm with Pink Grapefruit. The pink grapefruit seed oil is packed with vitamin C that nourishes your lips while also providing a tasty tropical flavor!

Repair your hair. As we transition into the colder season, air holds less humidity leaving strands dry and dull. Apply a deep-conditioning hair mask to your tresses once a week to restore moisture and shine. If you have thin, fine strands, opt for a light treatment that won't weigh your hair down like Moroccanoil Weightless Hydrating Mask.

Switch foundation formulas. Put away those tinted moisturizers and BB creams and switch to a liquid foundation. During the fall, your skin needs moisture, so a liquid formula will keep skin moisturized, provide full coverage, and leave you with a dewy finish! I like Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15. It offers oil-free full coverage and comes in a wide range of shades for Latinas of all skin tones!
