It's World Marriage Day and we have weddings and love on our minds! We celebrated with some real-life amazing love stories earlier, and now we want to relive some of the most memorable Latino celeb weddings–and, of course, the amazing wedding gowns they were wearing!
So we took a look back at what some of our other favorite Latina brides wore on their big day and boy, were there some amazing dresses! From Mariah Carey's sexy vow renewal gown to Eva Longoria's classic style, here are our top ten picks!
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez’s nuptials (her second marriage) with dancer-choreographer Cris Judd were definitely lavish, located in a private mountaintop estate in Calabasas, California. All seven bridesmaids wore Valentino, as did the bride herself, whose off-white silk and Chantilly-lace gown, cut low both in front and back, was by Valentino Couture. The couple divorced in 2002.
Mariah Carey & Tommy Mottola
Talk about looking like a princess! Mariah Carey's first marriage was to Tommy Mottola in Manhattan in 1993. And Mariah wore a dress that as over-the-top and fabulous as she is! Her white, embellished, off-the-shoulder Vera Wang dress had a 27-foot train, an embellished bodice and a poofy ball gown skirt! The couple divorced after 5 years, but are now remarried.
Fergie
Fergie and Josh Duhamel tied the knot on January 10, 2009 at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu. The singer wore a custom-made form-fitting white Dolce & Gabbana dress that showed off her hourglass figure and was accented with flowers on the back. The couple is still happily married. Next step? Babies, perhaps?
Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria and Tony Parker got married on July 7, 2007 in Paris. The stunning actress wore a white Angel Sanchez dress that had a lower backline, a detailed hem and a beautiful cascading train. The couple is now divorced.
Christina Aguilera
Xtina married Jordan Bratman at sunset in 2005 in Napa Valley, California. The singer wore a long Christian Lacroix gown that she first spotted during Paris Fashion Week the July before her November nuptials. The couple filed for divorce in 2010 and have one son, Max, who was born in 2008.
LaLa Anthony
La La married basketball star, Carmelo Anthony, in New York City in 2010. She wore a gorgeous custom-designed $8K Vera Wang gown with a fitted bodice and a sash tied at the waist. The two have a son, Kiyan, and are still going strong!
Christina Milián
This picture of Christina Milian and The Dream was taken at their second wedding ceremony (they had already had one in Vegas!) that took place in Rome, Italy. She wore a dress by Monique Lhuillier while he wore a unique styled tux by Alexander McQueen. Though the couple has since separated, they have one daughter together, Violet.
Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon
I guess Mariah just looks really good in wedding dresses, because we also loved her in the gown she wore to her vow renewal ceremony with Nick Cannon. The two re-pledged their love atop the Eiffel tower almost four years after their surprise wedding in the Bahamas. And Mariah looks stunning in a white mermaid dress with spaghetti straps and a black bow at the waist while Cannon matches her perfectly in a white suit and black tie!
Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie married Joel Madden in 2010 and the reality star/clothing designer was the epitome of a bride! Inspired by a Grace Kelly look, Richie actually wore multiple (!!) stunning Marchesa dresses, including one featuring a removable ball-gown skirt crafted from more than 100 yards of hand-draped silk organza and tulle petals.
Salma Hayek
The already gorgeous Salma Hayek looked even more amazing when she married now-husband Francois-Henri Pinault. They tied the knot on Valentine’s day at City Hall in Paris in 2009. She wore a stunning Balenciaga wedding gown by Nicolas Ghesquiere. The off-white gown featured a fitted bodice embellished with beads and crystals and a full-length bubble skirt. The couple has daughter, Valentina Paloma, who served as flower girl at the nuptials, and are still as happy as ever!
