I admit it, I watched the Tony Awards last night just to see Ricky Martin's performance with his Evita castmates, but I was also keeping an eye out to see what everyone was wearing. I love award shows and definitely one of my favorite things about them is the glitz, glamour and fashion.
Sometimes I see a look that I really want to try out and that's how I felt when Cote de Pablo took the stage, wearing a gorgeous red dress and–what most impressed me__–sporting a gorgeous deep side part__. I mean, seriously, I am in LOVE with her hairdo.

Now, I'm pretty obsessed with my hair already so it shouldn't really come as a surprise that my favotire moment of the Tony's came in the form of a hairstyle. I was honestly surprised by how much I loved the Chilean-American actress's hair-to-one-side look. I wear my hair to the side pretty frequently but, I have to admit, I've never actually tried this simple look before–what was I thinking!
So how do you get this look? Basically, it requires a bit of product to smooth the hair back. In order to avoid stray strands and look just as perfect as Cote did, you need to first apply some smoothing or straightening balm. Then, part your hair and rub a little bit of wax between your palms and use it to secure the side that's supposed to be secured back.

My hair's pretty short, so I think I will actually have to apply a few bobby pins to push it back. I think it's a great style for summer and I'm in particular looking forward to trying it out for an upcoming wedding.
